After starting in the industry as an actor at the age of nineteen in his first professional play, Xavier has gone on to be a critically acclaimed and award-winning actor, writer, director and producer. He has worked extensively in theatre and in the screen world.
In 2017 Xavier was awarded the Terracini Estate Residency for writing. Xavier’s stage credits include 'Not Even God Can Save Us', writer & actor (ACA), 'The World According To Jerry', writer (KXT Storytellers Festival), ‘Buried’, writer & actor, (The Old 505 Theatre), ‘Are You Listening Now?’, writer and actor (The Old 505 Theatre), ‘Fighting’, writer (KXT Teethcutting), ‘Caught Out’, writer, director & actor (Sydney Fringe Festival and Bondi Feast) which took out the NIDA Award for Best Writer & winner of Sydney Fringe Award at the 2018 Sydney Fringe Festival & ‘Distorted’, writer & actor (The Old 505 Theatre), ‘Charles & Larry’, writer & actor (Flightpath Theatre) and ‘Agency’, writer & actor (KXT Storytellers Festival). His play ‘Fighting’ was shortlisted for The Born Writer’s Award and winning The Silver Gull Award. He has subsequently joined Origin Theatrical publishing for publication of his plays. In 2024 Xavier’s book ‘Living With Bipolar’ was published by Origin. In 2025, he directed his play ‘Fighting’ at The New Theatre to rave reviews. All of Xavier’s plays have played to profitable and many sold out shows with critical acclaim
His stand alone acting work includes plays ‘All The Rage’, (The Old Fitz), ‘Harvest’ (New Theatre), ‘Beast.Belly.Beast.’ (The Old 505) ‘The Removalists’ (New Theatre) and Breathing Coprses (KXT). He has also featured in the short films ‘Gavin’, ‘The Burnt Cork’, ‘Suits’, ‘Bail’ and ‘Help’. In TV, Xavier has appeared in ‘Tough Nuts’ – Season 1 and 2, ‘Doctor, Doctor’.
Off the back of Xavier’s theatre success he was brought in to write on Channel 10’s hit television series ‘Five Bedrooms’ and has completed development rooms for The Full Box’s adaptation of their documentary into a drama series ‘Opal Cove’. His TV pilot ‘Don’t Make Me Regret This’ has been optioned by The Full Box. He has sat in on writing rooms at Jungle Entertainment and also established relationships with top tier companies across the country.
Xavier’s Screen NSW funded short film ‘Fighting’, which he also directed, premiered at Sydney Film Festival in June 2023. He worked as a script consultant on Nicholas Denton’s ‘How I Learned To Swim’. In 2023 Xavier founded Blazing Battle Productions with a view to producing lean and high-quality films that have a comic edge and pack a punch.
